The first meeting of the HAC's Northeast Network will happen at the end of this month. I want to host a meeting between artists, performers, venue representatives, and technicians with lighting, sound, and audio tools and/or experience. Creative minds are also welcome, so we can create new synergies between contacts who possibly knew nothing about one another. Once we know about all the resources at our disposal, then we can start doing the fun stuff: having shows!

If you want to become part of this network, then I urge you to come. The object of this first meeting is to share information about what we have to offer, and build relationships for future collaboration.

Light fare and cool summertime drinks to be shared. I'm bringing a watermelon; if you have something to share, bring it along.

I REALIZE that this is apparently a holiday weekend. If you are unable to make it to this meeting, but still want to be involved, please come to the follow-up meeting two weeks later. An e-mail or phone message would also be helpful, so we can stay informed regarding those who want to help build the network.

Twice each month is the Earth-shattering Board Game Showdown. "B.Y.O.G." means "Bring Your Own Game," and we open the doors to the Hamilton Gallery (at 2927 Hamilton Avenue) so you can share your own board game favorites or jump into one of the games we have in-house. All the classics can be found, as well as some of the new: Operation, Connect 4, Scruples, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, and more...

Admission is FREE! Doors open at 7pm, and we play until LATE.
